Deborah joined Nautica Law in September 2026 after qualifying as a Solicitor, completing her training with a London based firm specialising in dry and wet shipping, yachting, and marine insurance. Her training encompassed charterparty disputes, cargo damage claims, and casualty work, and she assisted in LMAA and LCIA arbitrations as well as High Court proceedings.
Before relocating to London, Deborah worked in the legal department of a commodities trading, shipping, and chartering company headquartered in the Principality of Monaco. During this time, she gained substantial experience in drafting and negotiating contracts for the trade of commodities and advising on sanctions compliance in shipping and trade, with a particular focus on Russian-related sanctions.
Deborah holds a Master’s Degree in Law from the University of Genoa. She subsequently completed her Graduate Diploma in Law and obtained her Legal Practice Course with an LLM in Professional Legal Practice, graduating with distinction.
A native Italian speaker, Deborah is also fluent in French.
