Alexis is an experienced maritime litigator with a strong track record of acting in a wide range of maritime disputes for both shipowners and charterers.

Alexis’ practice focuses primarily on charterparty, bill of lading and cargo disputes. Particular areas of expertise include: failure to pay hire, repudiation, off-hire, early and late redelivery, unseaworthiness, hold cleanliness, underperformance, unsafe port, laytime and demurrage, cargo claims, insolvency, anti-suit injunctions and world-wide freezing orders.

Alexis has assisted his clients in successfully resolving numerous disputes by settlement, arbitration and in court. Alexis has successfully secured and defended ship arrests in many major maritime jurisdictions.

Prior to joining the firm, Alexis worked as a maritime litigator at international law firms in London and Piraeus and is fluent in Greek.
